The 4-star hotel Moeke Mooren is located in Appeltern, a pleasant village in Gelderland. This hotel is located directly on the Maas, in the De Gouden Ham recreational and nature reserve. It is an ideal starting point for explorations through nature.

In our open kitchen, the chef and his kitchen staff prepare delicious dishes from French-Dutch cuisine. They take the seasons into account and also use local delicacies. When the weather is nice, you can not only enjoy delicious food on the panoramic terrace, but also spectacular views of the lively water and nature reserve. Environment

You will find Moeke Mooren in Het Land van Maas en Waal, directly on the Maas. The Gelderland Rivierenland has been a forgotten part of the Netherlands for a long time. Not so long ago, almost no one knew how beautifully the dikes meander through the beautiful landscape here, how impressive the blue skies are silhouetted above the tranquil villages. Villages, where workers earned their living at the brick factory for decades and life went on quietly. Partly thanks to Boudewijn de Groot and his greatest hit, the rest of the Netherlands discovered what had remained hidden all these years: the Land of Maas and Waal.

To explore this beautiful area, various walking, cycling and sailing routes are offered. Ask for it at Moeke Mooren's reception. You can also reach cozy Tiel in no time. If you are near so much water, it is of course logical that you go on the water for a while. Hotel Moeke Mooren offers you this opportunity. We continuously work on improving our own purchasing process and focus in particular on goods and services that are sustainable, preferably with a recognized environmental and/or sustainability and/or social quality mark.
